ABOUT ARENA MAGAZINE Arena is a high end print media company telling the Great American Story of entrepreneurship, technology, and capital. We have a print magazine and coffee table books division. We’re based in Austin, TX. Read our content here http://arenamag.com. ABOUT THE ROLE Arena Magazine is looking for someone to lead ad sales. We’re seeking a quota carrying AE who will spend their entire day working to grow the Arena sponsor base. This job is straightforward: find, sell, retain, and grow the best companies in the world as advertising partners for Arena. We believe print advertising is worth its weight in gold. Companies get to tell their story uninterrupted to a high value subscriber base. This is what you’re selling. This job has the opportunity to broker deals that go far beyond simple ads. Historically, we have gotten very creative with our largest sponsors. That trend will only continue. You will be in charge of developing and managing your own pipeline, which means acting as your own SDR. This is a startup! If you do a great job, the opportunity exists to lead and grow the sales team at Arena. YOU! - Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a quota carrying sales role with closing experience - Skills: You must be proficient with managing your own pipeline, closing, and creating your own sales collateral - Fan of Arena: You already enjoy Arena! Liking the content and our vibe is going to be key to a successful role here - Self-Starter: You don’t need to be asked - Attention to Detail: You sweat the small stuff - Startup: You actively want to join a startup; you abhor corporate bureaucracy - You are a strong writer - This role will require working hard and with availability at most times during the day We have a strong preference for Austin, TX based, or willingness to move to Austin
