$126K – $147KAbout the role
Editor Los Angeles (Dream Lab) You will own how Dream Lab and Luma show up on the screens people actually watch. The social optimized cut. The behind-the-scenes reel from a shoot. The tutorial that makes a hard creative workflow look obvious. This role is for an editor who understands what people watch online and knows how to build a hook, find the story, and control the pace to match current trends. It's also for an editor who can shift gears when the material calls for it: from social-first content to original scripted pieces, where narrative instinct, performance, and scene construction matter just as much as the hook. This is a heavily graphics-driven role: we need an editor who thinks in type, builds motion graphics from scratch, and can lock a graphic to a moving shot with frame-accurate tracking. You'll turn raw footage, behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, tutorials, and original shorts into compelling platform-native content. You'll cut original narrative pieces from assembly to final delivery. You'll work across various formats and aspect ratios, using editing, sound design, motion graphics, kinetic typographycaptions, and platform-specific storytelling to spotlight our team and collaborators, showcase what our technology can do, and strengthen our online presence. WHAT YOU'LL OWN - Cut and publish social video for Dream Lab and Luma across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, vertical and horizontal, at the team’s target cadence. - Find the hook, story, and structure inside raw footage from Dream Lab shoots, workshops, creator sessions, and partner projects. - Turn Luma product moments (Ray3.2, UNI-1.1, Luma Agents) into tutorials and demos that make a complicated creative workflow look easy. - Be enthusiastic about trying out the tool and knowing what the team is up to. - Build motion graphics into the video components AND text and logo animation that belong to the piece rather than a preset dropped on top. - Design and animate motion graphics and heavy type-driven title cards, lower thirds, and end cards that give Dream Lab's content a distinct, recognizable visual signature. - Apply precise kerning, tracking, and type treatment across all on-screen text so it reads cleanly at every size, from full-screen titles down to mobile captions. - Use motion tracking to lock graphics, type, and effects to moving footage, integrating them seamlessly into live-action shots. - Build sleek, seamless transitions — whip pans, match cuts, morphs, masked wipes, and type-driven scene changes — that keep pacing tight without calling attention to the cut. - Cut longer-form work: YouTube series episodes, project breakdowns, interviews and profiles of Dream Lab's team, creators, and partners, and original scripted or narrative pieces from assembly through picture lock. - Version every piece for where it lands: cutdowns, teasers, trailers, aspect ratios, runtimes, captions, sound design, color. - Read the performance data after a piece publishes and change the next hook, format, or opening because of it. - Keep footage, project files, graphics, music, and exports organized so the next edit starts fast instead of starting over. FIRST 90 DAYS One way the first 90 could unfold. - Days 1-30, Immerse & Diagnose. Learn the footage library, the content pillars, brand guidelines, and how Luma and Dream Lab show up online. Start shipping social cuts in week one and work up to the daily cadence. - Days 30-60, Ship & Validate. Hold the cadence. Start using performance data to suggest for changes in hooks and formats - Days 60-90, Scale & Systemize. Build the templates, graphics, and project structure that let one shoot become many pieces, and help push the team toward two to three published pieces a day across formats. Dream Lab's motion graphics and type system become instantly recognizable — bold, kerned-to-perfection titles, and graphics that feel purpose-built rather than templated. WHAT YOU BR
