About the role
THE COMPANY We are NEURAL EARTH. We bring clarity to physical risk, enabling leaders to engage with confidence and enact resilient, business-critical decisions. Today's environmental, economic, and infrastructure challenges are deeply interconnected, yet the data required to understand these relationships is scattered across siloed and aging systems. Neural Earth enables operational execution, delivering a single decision intelligence platform that unifies planetary, governmental, and asset-level data, always on and always learning. This is technical work that requires patience. It requires teams willing to operate at the intersection of AI research, geospatial science, distributed systems, and enterprise deployment. It is also incredibly rewarding. Join us at Neural Earth — the next frontier is here. THE TEAM Neural Earth's Revenue team is the commercial engine of the business, translating our decision intelligence platform into market opportunity, pipeline, and customer value. The team spans sales, customer success, and go-to-market strategy, in close partnership with Product and Engineering. We are building a revenue motion in a technically complex enterprise space largely from scratch, and this role is among the first two or three hires who will define how that motion actually works. You come before the Head of Sales, not after: companies that invert that order get repositioned as vendors by their own go-to-market, and Neural Earth is not doing that. The work you do here shapes how Neural Earth shows up in the market and how buyers understand what they are buying. THE ROLE You have sat in the seat we are selling into. That is the job requirement. You have owned a loss ratio, defended a rate filing, and watched a vendor model tell you something about your own book that you knew was wrong, deciding what to do about it with a renewal deadline in front of you. As a Senior Forward Deployed Underwriter, you are the first Neural Earth person in the room with a Chief Actuary, and often the only one: you will sit inside a carrier's book, run Prometheus against their exposure, and explain the divergence to the person whose signature is on the rate. You report to the Head of Revenue while working closely with the CEO securing revenue. This is not a sales seat with a technical wrapper. It is a practitioner seat with commercial authority: you own the account, the technical argument, and the number. This is you! HOW YOU'LL BE SUCCESSFUL - Underwrite: Alongside the customer. Embed in a carrier or reinsurer's actual book, Florida wind, California wildfire, Texas hail. Run Prometheus against their in-force exposure and find where the incumbent model is wrong, proving it at parcel resolution. - Author: The memo that circulates when you are not in the room. A one-page memo to a Chief Actuary that diagnoses a 12-point loss ratio divergence, concedes what it should concede, and recommends a decision. - Create: The category, account by account. You are not competing for an existing budget line, you are arguing the line should exist, and that argument only lands from someone the buyer recognizes as a peer. - Turn: The field back into the product. What you learn inside the book becomes the roadmap, with direct, unfiltered access to engineering and the CEO, and the expectation that you use it. - Diagnose: Divergence and say which is which out loud. You will be right sometimes and wrong sometimes, and that honesty is not a soft skill here, it is the entire sales motion. WHY WE VALUE YOU - You have sat in the seat we are selling into. That is the job requirement. - You have owned a loss ratio, defended a rate filing, and watched a vendor model tell you something about your own book that you knew was wrong. - You bring 6 to 9 years inside a carrier, reinsurer, or MGA: pricing actuary, underwriting manager, cat modeling lead, or portfolio manager, carrier-side first, and longer than any vendor tenure. - You have persona
