About the role
ABOUT OUTTAKE Outtake exists to empower and facilitate trust for a digital-first world. Today, impersonation, fraud, AI-driven scams, and identity abuse spread faster than any security team can respond to. So we built something different: an agentic AI platform that proactively detects, monitors, and takes down impersonators, automating protection in hours, not weeks. Built by ex-Palantir, ex-CTO/founders, and ex-Notion engineers, Outtake is designed for clarity, autonomy, and velocity. Our goal is ambitious: become the trust layer of the modern internet. And we intend to do it with a lean, dense, exceptionally talented team. Outtake is backed by top-tier investors and operators who believe in our mission and our model. With strong financial footing and a long runway, we prioritize creating an environment where people can do the best work of their careers. THE ROLE This is a senior product design role. You will join as Outtake's third product designer, ramping quickly to independently own design for a product area, embedded in a product team, while also leading horizontal initiatives. Outtake is a decentralized, high-ownership org without a traditional PM role. You will work with product engineers and product deployment leads to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and decide what's worth building — shaping product direction, not just executing against it. This is a role for solving novel UX challenges. You will design how users manage fleets of autonomous agents, decide when to intervene, and investigate threats across layers of connected data — owning the experience end-to-end, from workflows and information architecture to the interactions and visual details that make it clear and usable. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Work with product engineers and product deployment leads to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and decide what's worth building. - Design how users manage fleets of autonomous agents, decide when to intervene, and investigate threats across layers of connected data. - Own the experience from workflows and information architecture to the interactions and visual details that make it clear and usable. - Turn open questions into well-backed user insights and concrete design options and prototypes that align your team. - Find simpler ways to solve problems, make deliberate tradeoffs, and work closely with engineers to ship and improve the product. - Build direct relationships with customers, driving design partnerships and establishing regular channels for feedback. - Run research, test ideas, and gather the qualitative and quantitative evidence needed to make decisions and assess what you ship. - Create tools and practices that help designers, engineers, and product managers move faster and consistently ship well-designed products, including evolving our design system and expanding the use of AI in how we explore, prototype, and build. - As the design team grows, we expect this role to take on broader ownership over design culture and horizontal design initiatives at Outtake. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 5+ years of product design experience, ideally at early-stage or high-growth companies where you've had to own outcomes end-to-end. - Comfort designing technically complex products, with the ability to get deep into a domain, solve unfamiliar UX problems, and make layered information clear and useful. - A deeply product-minded, user-driven (not user-led) approach, with genuine excitement to drive product strategy alongside Product Deployment and Product Engineering. - Resourcefulness and speed, with the judgment to know when to decide carefully and when to ship and iterate. - Low ego, with the ability to give and receive feedback openly without getting precious about your work. - Comfort working collaboratively while also navigating ambiguity and owning your work fully without hand-holding. - Excellent craft across interaction, visual, and motion des
